In addition to being able to play music on the Xbox One, users will also be able to use Spotify on their mobile devices to control the music that's being played on their Xbox which is very handy. Not only will the Xbox One have customizable blocks on the Home screen, but the blocks will pull information such as the developer activity feeds, displaying when friends are playing the game and suggest the next achievement to try and get. According to Xbox, the update will make it so that it's faster to switch between tabs within the guide.

Spotify users will also be getting access to some pre-curated playlists for gaming on the app. Spotify's Gaming section will feature a total of three pre-curated playlists for gamers, including Epic Gaming, Power Gaming, and a playlist from Xbox's own Major Nelson. We'll be introducing plenty of new features in the coming months across Xbox One, Windows 10 PC, Mixer, and mobile devices created to make your gaming experiences all about you. The Club Discovery area has also been improved and shows clubs that the user is already in, and makes it easier to discover new Clubs to join. It's now available for download for Windows 10 users. As always, we owe some big thanks for all the fan feedback we receive and review from gamers everywhere, as well as to the invaluable members of our Xbox Insider Program for all the feedback they provide regularly.

Its absence was felt most when Spotify first launched on PlayStation 4 two years ago (especially when Microsoft was still pushing its first-party music store), and it's since been a lingering point of contention between the two consoles.

The update would be bringing a new Xbox One Gaming experience to have more fun along with making the experience more personalized.
