Here's How Hook and Regina Are Different in Season 7

"I think around season four we started to realize that we wanted to start writing towards our own endpoint and if the show was successful enough or if the network had interest enough to go on, that we would reboot it".

ABC President Channing Dungey also talked about bringing American Idol back.

The new season will open in Seattle and another curse will have struck the characters, leading O'Donoghue and Parrilla to play new iterations of their fictional alter egos. Not the queen that we're used to.

For those wondering about "Rumbelle", that will be addressed in Episode 4, in which Emilie de Ravin will appear in with Robert Carlyle.

"It is something that we're actively wanting to do, but right now some other things are going to take center stage before we get to it."
We're very cognizant of what came before and we're thinking of the fans. Horowitz added, "what happened in the first six seasons of the show remains deeply rooted in the DNA as we go forward".

O'Donoghue and Parrilla also shed some light on what we'll see with the new versions of Hook and Regina, respectively.

"[Hook] is a uniform cop in Seattle". He's striving to find who he is still. "The Hook that we meet is trying to be the best uniform cop than he can be.but as with Once Upon a Time it's a bit more complicated than that".

"I don't think her name is Regina, and that's cool", the actress said.

"I'm no longer in pantsuits". I'm in denim and rock t-shirts.

The series returns on October 6th in the episode "Hyperion Heights" which reveals more about now grown-up, Henry (Andrew J. West), the Queen-formerly-known-as-Regina (Lana Parilla) and the cop version of Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) living in contemporary Seattle.

"She's a little rough around the edges". This version feels really different. "But this Regina is something else and I'm having a blast playing her".

Once Upon a Time fans won't be seeing the same versions of Captain Hook and Regina in the upcoming seventh season - and we finally have a better sense of who their beloved characters will be. The tough thing about this business is it isn't just professional, it's also personal and we became really close with a lot of these people so it's always emotional. "One of them might be one of the best of any show I've read".

One character that is returning but in different form is Henry, now played as an adult by West. It will also be up to her to confront the bully, who happens to be Cinderella's (Dania Ramirez) stepmother, the evil Lady Tremaine (Gabrielle Anwar). "All you saw past year was adult Henry with his daughter and they hinted at his mother". "Then, in the flashbacks, we'll start to unravel the story of how they got there, we'll start to understand different reasons for the different behaviors, and how we're seeing them in these new permutations".

One of the huge changes is that Regina's relationship with Henry is completely different in both realms. Parrilla was careful in what she could say during the panel. "We actually meet we reunite after many years in a flashback".

"She's no longer in charge and we've always seen Regina in charge or try to be in charge, try to be in control, try to manipulate, and then she redeemed herself", she continued.
