Borussia Dortmund youngster Christian Pulisic says he hopes Gabon global Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stays at the club "for a long time" because his leadership has made him a crucial player at the German outfit.

"I told them my thoughts, maybe trying to try something else again".

"I received an offer, but I think the Chinese struggled to make an offer to BVB".

The scorer of 85 goals Bundesliga for Borussia Dortmund since joining from Saint-Etienne in 2013, the 28-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in the world, and when reports emerged a few months ago that he'd promised his grandfather that he'd move to Real Madrid, speculation went through the roof.

For much of the summer it looked like the Gabon global would be on the move during the current transfer window as Tianjin Quanjian were believed to be keen on sealing a deal in the region of £70million for the 28-year-old. "I think the structures are still not as professional as in Europe".

"No-one can say what the future holds", Aubameyang told German paper Welt am Sonntag, as reported by Football Italia.

He said China was "an option", and added: "It is normal that you think about it, if so much money is offered". I like clear things and this was anything but clear, so I set it aside. But I think that anybody would think about it when he gets such an offer. I believe in God and fate. And when my career is over, I want to look after my family to help my children.

Dortmund lost 4-5 in a penalty shootout after it finished 2-2 over 90 minutes before Marc Bartra had his crucial spot-kick saved in the preseason showdown.
