Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has moved to end speculation linking Alex Sandro to Chelsea by insisting the Brazilian will not be leaving Turin.

The left-wing back has been targeted by Antonio Conte as competition for Marcos Alonso at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea already had a bid rejected for the left-back in June but Conte is a big admirer of the Brazil worldwide.

On the back of a scintillating season for Juventus, Alex Sandro became one of Chelsea's main transfer targets for the summer as the Blues looked to reinforce one of the key positions in the squad. And then Leonardo Bonucci's shocking transfer to AC Milan pretty much ruled out any more major departures from Juventus.

Sandro played for the Serie A champions during their 2-0 defeat to Tottenham yesterday.

Southampton are widely reported to have agreed a fee for the midfielder and Allegri admitted discussions are under way with potential suitors. "For the moment Lemina is still a Juventus player".
