Lowcountry weather: How much longer will rain be in the forecast?

A weak cold front is expected to drop into inland areas late Tuesday, enhancing rain and t-storm potential. We have a lot of time to track the wave of low pressure as it moves across the Atlantic.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms this morning, then a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. Warmer with high temperatures in the 80s to lower 90s for the plains, 60s and 70s for the mountains. Southwest winds will range from 5 to 10 miles per hour with a 50 percent chance of rain. Calm wind becoming west around 5 miles per hour in the afternoon. South winds 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Forecast: Overnight: Becoming partly cloudy.

Sunday - Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 11am. Lows will be in the mid-70s with south winds from 5 to 10 mph.There will be a 40 percent chance of rain.

Sunday: Showers and thunderstorms - high near 75. Highs will be near 90 degrees. The work week will close on Friday with a 40 percent chance of rain.

Monday Night - Scattered showers and thunderstorms before 11pm. Chance of precipitation is 20%. Saturday will see a high of 87, while Sunday through Tuesday will reach 88. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy - low around 64.

There is also a tropical wave in the Caribbean Sea, which has a 50% chance of development over the next 2 days.
