Three decades after he played his final NFL game - all for the Seahawks - Kenny Easley was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame with six other members of the Class of 2017 on Saturday in Canton, Ohio. Had Easley played a full career, who knows when this day would have come.

It took 25 years since he became eligible in 1992. "I'm here now. So that means that's when I was supposed to be here". "Some folks said, 'I deserved to be in the Hall earlier.' I don't believe that". Easley was elected to the Seattle Seahawks Ring of Honor in 2002. "There, it's settled. Because I said so".

Easley retired from football at age 28, but not before he left his mark on the league. Yes, these ceremonies can be brutally long without the enforcement of time limits, but a guy like Easley has waited forever for this moment and it seems cruel to simply turn his speech off in the middle of a positive message.
