Four-star junior offensive tackle Doug Nester of Huntington (W.Va.) Spring Valley participated in one of Ohio State's one-day instructional camp in June, after which he said he was close to making a commitment. According to the 247 Sports composite rankings, he is the No. 3 offensive tackle and No. 39 overall prospect in the class of 2019.

Nester chose Ohio State over a list of offers that included Alabama, Florida, Michigan State, Nebraska, Tennessee and West Virginia. Nester, at a pool party, playfully pushed into the pool individuals wearing shirts representing the Crimson Tide, Gators, Hokies and Mountaineers before putting on a Buckeyes cap and shouting "Go Bucks" as family members celebrated with him.

Nester's commitment gives Ohio State a positive early start on its 2019 class.

"It's nearly to an end with the recruiting and everything", Nester said back in June.

"It was a really great experience getting to work with coach Stud [rawa] and working with all of the coaches", Nester told reporters, via Andrew Lind of Eleven Warriors.

"Through prayer and much consideration, I have made one of the most hard decisions I've had to make", Nester said.
