Neymar & PSG officially seal the deal

Congress is heading out for its summer recess, leaving much undone, a slim record of accomplishments, and tensions between President Donald Trump and congressional Republicans simmering into public view. European football's governing body could not, and would not, attempt to block the transfer. He wanted to "emerge from Messi's shadow" and significantly improve his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or in his late 20s.

Pique later clarified that he didn't know what would happen and told journalists: "It's my intuition, a gut thing". "Tkm" stands for "te quiero mucho" (I love you loads). The transfer is insane, it's the highest football has ever seen.

The football world is abuzz with talk of Neymar's record-shattering transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, but clearly it is not just Barcelona fans disturbed by his looming switch to Ligue 1. Gerard Pique even posted a photograph of the pair with two words, "Se queda", translated as "He stays".

253 - In the 113 matches MSN have all played together, the trio have contributed 253 goals for Barcelona.

Signing Neymar to PSG is just one measure of that defiance, as in: "We'll continue to throw our money around to build a global brand - as well as make strategic investments in the world's biggest companies". We are talking about a strong team, with great players and a big start. Not really when you are sitting on more than $300 billion in assets - it's a lunch.

Remember, in 1984 Maradona is pre-1986, pre-El Diego, showing flashes of what is to come, but getting into onfield fights, yet to actually pull off (and into the net) what he would in, and after, Mexico.

Can transfer fees get higher than this, or is this the peak?

Neymar's exercise of his release clause at Barca cost his new employers $263 million. Maybe only economists can give an accurate answer. "Some are given to us, others are fruits of our own decisions to keep the light that illuminates our career, which is intense, but short", was how he started the message.

It is a little gift to say, 'Welcome to Paris'. It is crazy and seems nonsensical, but time will tell.

Who are the potential replacements for Neymar at Barcelona?

View from France: The Catalan press quoted Ousmane Dembélé, Kylian Mbappe, Philippe Coutinho, Antoine Griezmann or Paulo Dybala. In all likelihood it will be one of the first three.

View from Spain: There are a lot players in Barca's sights: Dybala, Dembélé, Coutinho, Griezmann, Di María, Rabiot, Mbappé and Verratti. But to be honest, Neymar doesn't have a real replacement. Last year a Spanish court found him guilty of tax evasion and fined him $66 million, reduced to $33 million this year on appeal. If they win the Champions League and Neymar is the star of the competition, then of course.

That's why today the deal is fully completed and Neymar in Barcelona can be considered only as a history.
