Samsung Pay works on 2.5 million Point of Sale (PoS) Card machines across the country through its Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) technology.

Samsung launched Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro last month at Rs 20,990 along with Samsung Galaxy J7 Max smartphone. If you want to purchase Galaxy J7 Pro then you can visit the online website of Samsung. Apart from SBI and several other banks it also works with payments platform UPI and Paytm.

Rajnish Kumar, MD, National Banking Group, SBI said, "Bank aims to be the Banker to Digital India and has been at the fore-front of all digital initiatives in the banking space". The mobile industry has been gradually adopting two-sensor imaging systems in recent years and Samsung is the last major phone maker that has yet to do so, though the company is now said to be preparing three such devices which are meant to be released by the end of the year - the Galaxy C7 (2017), Galaxy C10 Pro, and the Galaxy Note 8.

Coming to the specifications of Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro, the phone comes with a display of 5.5 inches.

With this, it has become the most affordable smartphone in Samsung's smartphone range with Samsung Pay functionality. With this partnership, Samsung Pay consumers who have an eligible SBI Debit Card can get a flat cashback of INR 100 on a minimum transaction amount of INR 500.

Samsung is now expanding its Pay services beyond the app.

While this collaboration is yet another step for SBI to boost its digital payment services, it also gives Samsung an edge over its competitors to gain market share in the highly competitive smartphone segment.
