Many experts are predicting the Seminoles and Crimson Tide to win their respective conferences and advance to the College Football Playoff.

It was officially announced on Wednesday that ESPN College GameDay will be kicking off their season previewing this monumental 2017 matchup, as well as some of the other big games that will be taking place that weekend. It will also begin the season in the same city on September 2.

It's no secret that the first week of college football features a few great games.

College GameDay goes to a different site each week, usually a college campus. This episode will mark the 11th time the show will be coming from Atlanta.

Florida State and Alabama are no strangers to College GameDay either. Eight of those previous episodes were aired from the historic Georgia Dome, which closed this year.

Current preseason polls have both teams in the Top 5 and some polls have the teams as #1 and #2 going into the season.

Fittingly, Atlanta native Maria Taylor will join College GameDay as a reporter, replacing Sam Ponder, for this season. As a matter of fact, it wasn't too long ago that everyone's beloved GameDay team member Lee Corso pretty much spilled the beans that this would be the show's destination for Week 1 of the season.
