If you've yet to pick up Titanfall 2 and don't have an EA Access subscription, then today is your lucky day. It came out of the gate famously slowly, caught between the spinning wheels of Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1, but EA said in the Ultimate Edition announcement that player numbers have actually grown over the past few months, "a great thing to see almost a year after launch".

It should also be noted that unlike several games available via EA Access, Titanfall 2 doesn't offer up any season pass or post-launch content to purchase.

Titanfall 2's arrival onto EA Access follows on from the recent update which added a fun co-operative horde mode called Frontier Defense, where the player and their team has to defend a harvester against oncoming waves of enemies, and more maps. Titanfall 2 has now been added to the vault which means subscribers on both the Xbox One and PC can play this game for free. While its new single-player campaign was a huge draw, Titanfall 2's stylish multiplayer also made a return with a new coat of paint. Earlier this month, EA did announce that its two biggest shooters, Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1, were headed to the Access vault, we just had no idea that one of those two would drop the same month. You pay a flat fee of either $4.99 a month or just $29.99 a year and you receive access to a ton of games within EA's vault.

Titanfall 2 is out now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
