Atlantic Records said in a statement: "Sia is a once-in-a-generation artist".

The Christmas album will be the singer's first release under Atlantic after moving on from RCA Records, Billboard reported.

The record will consist of original holiday songs written by Sia and Greg Kurstin, who worked with the Grammy nominee on "Chandelier, ' as well as hits like Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger" and Adele's 'Hello".

News of the festive album was revealed as it was announced the singer-songwriter has left Sony records and signed a new deal with Atlantic Records, owned by Warner Music.

They added: "Sia is that rare artist who has formed her own singular, boundless musical universe".

Sia most recently wrapped up the North American leg of her headlining arena Nostalgic For The Present Tour. She has not scheduled any concerts for 2018 at this time.

But before we can expect any Sia Christmas tunes, the Australian singer first has to wrap up production on her first feature film, Sister-starring Kate Hudson and Sia's favorite young dancer Maddie Ziegler, People reports-which she's written and is now directing. She released her seventh studio album, This Is Acting, back in January 2016.

Even though Sia's upcoming album is made of originally penned Christmas songs, it's good to hear that she is working on new material, and hopefully another album is just around the corner.
