Capcom is once again digging deep into its back catalogue, and is bringing Resident Evil Revelations to current gen consoles.

According to the announcement press release, this is the "best-looking version" of the game to date, featuring 1080p resolution, improved frame rate, increased environmental detail and refined creature animations. We're unsure on how many of these additions will be included in the Nintendo Switch version, but we do hope to see some improvements over the Wii U port. Additionally, four controller schemes based on control types from across the entire series are available in this version of the game for a more flexible experience to accommodate different playstyles.

Capcom recently announced during its latest financial report that Resident Evil 7 sold 3.5 million copies on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC; failing to reach sales targets set by the company.

We already know that Resident Evil Revelations (which originally released on the 3DS before making its way to PS3) will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One in August.

It's worth noting that the Collection includes only the first game on cart - the sequel will have to be downloaded via an included code.
