But having already broken the club's record transfer fee on Alexandre Lacazette last month, the Gunners may have to break it again as Monaco are extremely hesitant to let Lemar go after they have already lost first team stars Bernardo Silva, Benjamin Mendy and Tiémoué Bakayoko.

Jack Wilshere, David Ospina, Kieran Gibbs, Carl Jenkinson, Lucas Perez, Calum Chambers and Mathieu Debuchy may all need to leave the club in order for a deal for Lemar to go through.

The sales would also help raise the cash Monaco will demand to sell, expected to be well in excess of £50million.

If you by the way the Arsenal transfer rumours have been progressing during the summer then it looks like our London rivals and the current Premier League title holders are set to step up their attempts to sign our England global star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is one of a number of Gunners that have enetered the final year of their current Arsenal contracts.

The Gunners have already launched a host of bids for Lemar, so have the edge at this point - with the most recent reportedly hitting the £45m-mark.

But bookies think he's destined to move and make it odds-on for a deal to be done.

Arsenal will have to sell some of their fringe players before they make a fourth bid for Monaco winger Thomas Lemar.

"Their nearest market rivals Liverpool are now complete outsiders at 13/2".

However, BetStars reckon Lemar will end up at the Emirates and he'll be in an Arsenal shirt soon.
