In his seven seasons playing for the Seattle Seahawks, Kam Chancellor has made the Pro Bowl four times- and three times in a row from 2013-2015. That last piece may be resolved sooner rather than later.

Safety Kam Chancellor has agreed to a three-year, $36 million extension with the Seattle Seahawks, a source told ESPN's Josina Anderson on Tuesday.

This contract extension comes two years after Chancellor held himself out of training camp and the first two weeks of the regular season due to displeasure about his contract situation. Chancellor, 29, was entering the final year of his contract and puts an end to a protracted disagreement with the team over money. "Being productive, positive, just keep it there". The new average annual value makes Chancellor the third highest paid safety in the NFL. He was set for free agency in 2018. Chancellor has 12 playoff starts in his career, impressive particularly for a defensive back.

"I love this team", Chancellor said, via ESPN's Sheil Kapadia.

"I would love to retire here", Chancellor stated prior to finalizing his new deal.

"I can't really put a time-frame on how long I want to play", he said. "Till the wheels fall off". However long my body holds up - however long Lord allows me to. "They gave me my first opportunity, the only opportunity".
