The spacecraft will carry cosmonaut Sergey Ryazanskiy, who will serve as commander of the Expedition 52, as well as flight engineers Randy Bresnik from NASA and Paolo Nespoli from the European Space Agency, to the International Space Station.

Roscosmos confirmed officially that Soyuz-FG rocket with Soyuz spacecraft was already rolled out at Baikonur Cosmodrome and are waiting for launch planned for tomorrow.

The launch is scheduled for 06:41 p.m. Moscow time (15:41 GMT), with the Soyuz MS-05 set to separate from the third stage minutes after the start.

Russian cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin and United States astronauts Jack Fischer and Peggy Whitson of the Expedition 52, now on board the ISS, are due to return to Earth in September.

NASA says they will continue work on hundreds of experiments in biology, biotechnology, physical science and Earth science aboard the space station.

The three will spend more than four months on the orbital complex.
