PM Karen Karapetyan receives Israeli Regional Cooperation Minister

At the meeting, Armenian foreign policy chief Edward Nalbandian and his Israeli counterpart Tzachi Hanegbi discussed bilateral relations, as well as urgent regional and worldwide problems.

Greeting the delegation, Prime Minister Karapetyan mentioned that Armenia is interested in the development of cooperation with Israel, especially in terms of economy. The head of the Armenian government considered positive the recent launch of the Armenia-Israel direct flights.

The two ministers discussed regional and worldwide issues as well as ways for improving trade and economic relations and increase tourist flows between Armenia and Israel.

Ideas were exchanged on the perspectives of intensification of economic and business relationships between the countries. Karapetyan highlighted exchange of experience and implementation of investment programs with Israel in the spheres of IT, agriculture, public administration, digitization, healthcare and science. According to the Prime Minister, Armenia may be an interesting platform for foreign investors in terms of both bilateral cooperation and working with a third market.

Tzachi Hanegbi agreed that there are many possibilities for developing cooperation between the two countries, and the Israeli government is prepared to work with the Armenian counterparts with a view to materializing these opportunities.
