Now, with the news that HMD Global has new patents on board, more advanced devices may be on the way.

According to EUIPO, about 500 design patents previously owned by Microsoft Mobile Oy were transferred to its new owner, HMD Global Oy.

What do you think, will we see the Lumia Camera UI on future Nokia Android smartphones? Its iconic curved line-based options were a huge hit among device users. If this is spot on, then it is right to say that the Nokia 8 will get a month head start in sales over the iPhone 8.

Trademarks like PureView, ClearBlack or PureMotion are still registered as Microsoft Mobile's IP, but there is a high possibility that the trademarks could be transferred as well to HMD. "The phone is also tipped to have a 5.3" QHD screen and a premium full-metal finish.

While still unofficial, the Nokia 8 is heavily linked to run on Snapdragon 835 with 6GB of RAM.

As far as the camera is concerned, Nokia 8 is expected to come with dual-camera on the back and if the aforementioned reports are to be believed, it will be supported by Carl Zeiss lens and Lumia camera interface.

The word on the street is that Nokia 8 will cost around €589 (roughly $675/ Rs.43,416).
