SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam postponed

But the commission has postponed the date of the CGL tier 1 to August 5 instead of August 1.

The notification further adds that SSC CGL will not be held on August 7, 13, 14 and 15, 2017. Candidates have to download the admit card before going to the exam.

"The Commission made a public statement, In partial modification to the earlier announced date (s) of the said examination from 1st August, 2017 to 20th August, 2017, the Commission would now be conducting the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2017 from 5th August, 2017 to 24th August, 2017". 'Admission Certificates (ACs) for the Examination indicating the time table and also venues of examination for each candidate will be uploaded on the website of the Commission about two weeks before the date of examination, ' reads the official notification released by the Commission regarding SSC CGL 2017. Candidates had to fill the application form online. The last date for updating/ confirming the status (OH/ VH/ HH) is July 20, up to 5 pm. CGL exam comprises of four tier exams: Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 & Tier 4. The competitors will then need to print the showed admit card on an A-4 sheet.

SSC CGL descriptive paper tier-III will be held on January 21, 2018.

There have been some big changes and alterations that the Commission is introducing in the SSC CGL 2017 pattern along with the selection procedure.

SSC conducts the exam every year for recruitment to non-technical Group B and Group C non-gazetted posts in various government ministries, departments and organisations. The sections are: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension.
