The Nashville Predators maintained depth at the center position on Monday when they re-signed restricted free agent Frederick Gaudreau to a three-year contract. The native of Stockholm, Sweden, made his regular season debut on November 8, 2016, and appeared in 15 games last season, scoring one goal and adding an assist.

According to terms of the deal announced Tuesday, Aberg will make $650,000 each of the next two seasons.

Gaudreau, 24, skated in nine regular-season games for the Preds last season, but he really made his mark in the Stanley Cup Final, scoring three goals in the first four games of the series against Pittsburgh.

A native of Stockholm, Sweden, Aberg was a second-round pick of Nashville in the 2012 draft. He had 31 goals last season with Milwaukee of the American Hockey League.
