Customer feedback in those cities will determine whether Chick-fil-a offers the family-style options nationwide.

If your love for Chick-fil-A is like most Americans, you'll probably savor the new items joining the fast food restaurant's menu.

The chicken chain's family meals are reminiscent of KFC's Bucket meals, which are also created to be a convenient way to bring home food for the whole family.

Chick-fil-A is testing the new meals and sides in Greensboro, North Carolina; Phoenix, Arizona; and San Antonio, Texas until November 18.

The meals will start at $29.99 and include one entree, two sides and eight mini-rolls, geared at serving four people (or your Uncle Charlie).

Side options include: Bacon Baked Beans, Fruit Cup, Mac & Cheese, Side Salad, and the Superfood Side.

These include: Chick-n-Strips (12-count); Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Breasts (4-count); Chick-fil-A Nuggets (30-count), and Grilled Chicken Breasts (4-count).

Those watching their waistlines will approve as well: A meal featuring a grilled chicken breast, two mini-rolls, the side salad and fruit cup is only approximately 300 calories.

In addition to the Family Style Meals, Chick-fil-A is also testing the options of Bacon Baked Beans and Mac & Cheese as individual sides in these three cities. The mac and cheese and beans are the new sides.

Parents also said they wanted more ways to connect over dinner, so Chick-fil-A is including five "conversation starters" in the packaging for its family-style meals. The mac and cheese is made of a blend of cheddar, parmesan and romano cheeses.

To come up with the new menu, Chick-fil-A gathered together a group of parents and others in Dallas and asked them about their dinner needs. They'll be available through the drive-thru or inside the restaurant, and in the near future customers will be able to order ahead of time through the restaurant's app.
