Supermodel Miranda Kerr has shared the very first photos of her wedding dress with Vogue magazine.

Miranda Kerr posed for wedding pictures on Vogue's latest issue where Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik graced the front page.

The main inspiration for the couture gown-a long-sleeved satin dress with lily appliqués down the skirt-was the dress Grace Kelly wore to her 1956 nuptials to Prince Rainier III of Monaco.

But it's her Grace Kelly dress that meant the most, symbolically and otherwise: "Honestly, I couldn't have imagined a more attractive wedding dress", Kerr said. Another thing happened last July: Maria Grazia Chiuri became the artistic director of Dior (and the first woman to lead the house in its 69-year history).

Speaking in a video posted on Vogue.com, she said: 'Grace Kelly was a real inspiration with her dress and how timeless it is'.

The model told the publication why she opted for a classic dress, 'I've had a lot of fun with fashion, and I used to be more wild, free, bohemian.

'But in this period of my life, my style is more pulled back.

The model's wedding dress was inspired by vintage icons.

Having spent 8 years as a Victoria's Secret angel before finally hanging up her wings in 2013, Kerr is not afraid of a risqué look.

But although the wedding was an intimate affair, Miranda still went for an extravagant gown, wearing a custom-made Dior creation. "It's important to look good".

The couple Wednesday in a small ceremony at their home in California with just 50 close friends and family in attendance.

"For a small wedding, it has been a huge production", a source revealed to the entertainment mag.

The decorations during Miranda and Evan's wedding reportedly impressed their guests for being lavish and classy. She said: "My partner is very traditional".
