The Pro 7 and its plus-sized sibling are expected to be launched on July 26. This secondary display is said to be an E-ink display like we have seen on the Yotaphone and it will also come with the mandatory dual rear cameras. So, what extra news have we got for you today?

Meizu senior vice president Jeffery Yang, on the other hand, is teasing the imminent arrival of the Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus on his Weibo, even sharing images taken with the devices. Like, MX7, Pro 7 also supports 3D Touch. Although many details about the Meizu Pro 7 leaked in the last couple of week, it's still unclear when exactly the smartphone will be announced. We can see the display being used for notifications, and dates and quick glance stuff like that.

It will have a dual cameras module of 12-megapixel with Sony IMX386 + IMX286 CMOS sensor. The Pro 7 will be priced at CNY 2,799 ($409 or €365) for the basic version and CNY 3,299 ($482, €431) if you want more storage. Rumor has it that Meizu has chose to strike a deal with Samsung so that the Pro 7 will be equipped with an Exynos 8895 processor, but the information hasn't been confirmed. Now after several months of speculation, Meizu has finally sent the invites for the launch event of Meizu Pro 7 to be held on July 26.

However, a leakster claims that the Meizu Pro 7 Plus will not make use of the said chipset, citing a Samsung engineer for the information. The secondary display is certainly interesting, and we'll know more about what Meizu's plans for the device next week.
