Coulter tweeted a photo of the woman who allegedly wound up in her aisle seat on the flight from NY to Florida, and writing, "Delta didn't give my extra room seat to an air marshal or tall person'". Coulter also posted a picture of the passenger alleged to have taken her seat. Once she had boarded and was in the seat, a flight attendant approached and "ordered" her to take a different seat, "without explanation, compensation, or apology".

She joked that Delta hires people who seek to be prison guards, animal handlers or East German police.

She fired back again shortly after, saying she's "STILL WAITING FOR AN EXPLANATION FROM THE BRILLIANT, TALENTED, HARDWORKING STAFF" at Delta.

Coulter wondered on Twitter why it was an emergency "to move someone else into the seat I had carefully chosen in advance and booked?"

@AnnCoulter We're sorry you did not receive the preferred seat you paid for and will refund your $30.

Was it really necessary to take photos of a young woman, without even bothering to ask her name?

She also documented the experience in photos and tweet after tweet, which she shared with her 1.6 million followers, not to mention the wider spectrum of people fascinated by things Ann Coulter does.

"At the time of boarding, Delta inadvertently moved Coulter to 15A - a window seat - when working to accommodate several passengers with seating requests", a Delta spokesperson said.

Here is what reportedly happened: Coulter was flying to West Palm Beach, Florida, from New York's LaGuardia airport when she changed her originally booked window seat to an aisle on the same exit row within 24 hours of the departure.

Coulter has been an unhappy customer since at least 2010, when she wrote that her Delta flight to Portland got disrupted and that the ticketing agent she spoke with "deserves to be the worst employee multiple award-winner".

Conservative political commentator and author Ann Coulter discusses her latest book, "Adios, America: The Left's Plan to Turn Our Country into a Third World Hellhole" on June 17, 2015 at the National Press Club in Washington, DC.
