There are only cameras inside the entertainment outlet and none at the parking lot where a sexual assault allegedly took place involving a DAP assemblyman's aide, say police.

The 50-year-old aide, who is also a former Penang Municipal Council councillor, was arrested on Thursday and had been remanded for two days.

The post alleges that the incident happened at a carpark in Lebuh Pantai about 11.30pm on July 6.

The suspect's lawyer Gnasegaran Egamparam said police had requested for a three-day extension but it was turned down.

The student, who worked part-time as a waitress, claimed in her police report lodged the next day that the man was drunk, and he hugged and kissed her several times when they got to his auto.

According to the woman's police report, which has gone viral, the waitress alleged that the drunk man had taken her to the vehicle park, molested her and asked her to perform oral sex on him.

She claimed that the man offered her between RM500 and RM700 to spend the night with him but she refused and pleaded for him to stop his advances.

Northeast district police chief ACP Anuar Omar, in a statement said, the victim's clothes has already been handed to investigators.

The comments section of a Facebook live video of a Parti Cinta Malaysia press conference yesterday, during which the alleged victim recounted her traumatic experience, is filled with hateful words and allegations.

The case has been classified as assault or use of criminal force to a person with intent to outrage modesty under the Penal Code.
