During today's gaming panel at Disney's D23: Expo, developer Sanzaru announced that it is bringing the Marvel Universe to Oculus Rift with the new game Marvel Powers United VR. Only three three playable characters were revealed, and the game supports three-player simultaneous co-op. From what was shown above and what was discussed on-stage, Oculus Studios informed viewers that there'd be quite a few heroes to choose from in the game, some of which include the Hulk, Ronan the Accuser, Captain Marvel, and Rocket Raccoon. Another hero will be unveiled during San Diego Comic-Con. The game will be titled Marvel Powers United VR. And Captain Marvel can use her photon beams, super strength and, of course, fly. Marvel Powers United is teased for 2018 and next week at SDCC attendees will be able to get hands on with the game.

Some popular video game personas are also being incorporated into the game to help build up some hype around the VR product with the widely popular Markiplier showing off the game during the reveal.

Interestingly, it also seems like players will have access to special abilities unique to the character they are playing. No word was given on if the game would be compatible with all of Oculus current and future hardware plans.
