Reliance Jio's 4G feature phone, which costs Rs 500, was a rumour until today.

We are not sure if these subsidized phones will be launched as a part of an offer from Reliance Jio or will be stand alone devices.

Earlier, the company had launched a few LYF branded smartphones, and now, it is going to start a feature phone.

The report claims that the alleged LYF 4G VoLTE feature phone is question will be priced at Rs. 1,499. The reports leak the complete details of price and specs of the phone. From the images, it can be seen that the handset will feature a 2.4-inch color display and a dual-language keypad with navigation buttons just like any other feature phone. The device could come with a textured back, and on the rear will be a 2MP camera.

There are no details on which processor the device may come with. The processor which will power the phone is yet unknown. This is a 4G VoLTE phone that launches by Jio which comes with 512MB of RAM paired with 4GB of internal storage. Although, Qualcomm previously announced Snapdragon 205 SoC, specifically for 4G VoLTE phones. The company wants no place left for its competitors so they are getting ready to introduce feature phones with 4G VoLTE support. The dual SIM phone will support nano-SIM card, and there will be a dedicated slot for microSD card (expandable up to 128 GB). The images also suggest that the phone runs on KAI OS, which is apparently a forked version of Firefox OS. The phone also comes with a voice assistant.

The key highlight of the phone is reportedly the device's ability to run some Jio apps like Jio TV, Jio Cinema, and a few more. The phone is further spotted with a a dedicated app store called KaiOS Plus, which probably hints that the device will be able to support apps like Facebook and WhatsApp. Coming to the price, there is no much information revealed.
