"All I could hear was the paramedics saying he was going in and out of consciousness".

They had hoped to flawless the routine, originally performed by Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey, for their wedding next year as they celebrated the time of their lives.

Luckily this time they had some help from two crew members who got down on bended knee on either side of Andy and as Sharon ran towards him they helped lift her into the air.

After sustaining head and back injuries, the couple was taken to Bristol's Southmead Hospital and were discharged six hours later.

A couple from Weston-Super-Mare made headlines this week when they were knocked unconscious in a beer garden while attempting to recreate the infamous lift move from Dirty Dancing.

"I don't think we'll have that one at the wedding, I think we'll go for a traditional slow one and I'll let Andy choose", said Ms Price.

The BBC reports the English couple was trying to recreate the iconic scene when they collided.

At first, the couple's family thought they were joking when they saw them lying flat on the grass, but then quickly called an ambulance after realizing they were hurt.

Sharon said: "I've always loved "Dirty Dancing" - it's one of my all-time favorite films".

Sharon said doctors at the hospital laughed when she told them how the accident happened.

'We are OK now but Andy has a bruised back and neck and my back still hurts'. "Our feet were sill entwined and they had to separate us".

They say the ideal place to practice a lift is in the water but for one couple it seems that live TV works just as well.
