Jackson is already known for creating the Halloween anthem, and what's perhaps the greatest music video of all-time, Thriller, so this animated feature better be ready to bring the zombies, ghouls, and werewolves.

The special will air sometime this Fall, presumably around Halloween. An array of CBS talent also signed on including Jim Parsons (Big Bang Theory), Lucy Liu (Elementary), Christine Baranski (The Good Wife, The Good Fight), Alan Cumming (The Good Wife), George Eads (CSI) and Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond).

The only actress without any strong ties to CBS is Kiersey Clemons, best known for her role in 2015's Dope and this fall's Justice League.

In regards to the episode's story line, Vincent and Victoria - who are both millennials - meet accidentally on Halloween night at a spooky looking hotel on 777 Jackson Street.

Michael Jackson's Estate has teamed up with CBS to produce a new animated special for which his extensive discography will serve as the soundtrack. More details will be announced in the coming weeks. Upon entering the This Place Hotel, the two are sent on an adventure that is said to culminate in a dance finale featuring an animated MJ.

John Branca and John McClain, who are the co-executors of the Estate of Michael Jackson, will be executive producers on the new special.

Jackson has had some posthumous material released since his death in 2009, but this special is a far cry from simply re-releasing his old performances.
