He'll be joined in the starting lineup by Nationals' teammates Daniel Murphy and Ryan Zimmerman.

Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper continued to prove he's one of the majors' most iconic figures Sunday, garnering the most votes between American League and National League players as the All-Star Game rosters were announced. It will be the first start for the first baseman, who's been a consistent bat for the Nats all season.

Zimmerman is batting.335 with 19 home runs and 62 RBIs. All of this after an injury-riddled 2016 that saw him miss nearly a third of the season in which he batted just.218 with 15 home runs and 46 RBI.

For the second time in his career, the Kellam High graduate is an All-Star.

His only other appearance came in 2005 when he was a National League reserve third baseman.

The All-Star game will be July 11 in Miami.
