Before every game, Florida's JJ Schwarz finds a moment to pray. Experience. The Tigers have won six world series championships while the Gators have failed in two final appearances. If Faedo needed any more help, Deacon Liput added a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh.

"It's a surreal feeling to be able to pitch your team, when the back's against the wall in an elimination game, into the College World Series finals", Gilbert said. But it will happen.

"It's been very challenging throughout the year", O'Sullivan said.

In the fifth inning, Rivera was hit by a pitch.

TCU catcher Evan Skoug strikes out against Florida on Saturday.

"I asked him if he was warning me or Trevor", Casey said. Brian Howard and Mitchell Traver appeared in all four of the Horned Frogs CWS berths, Elliott Barzilli played in three, and five seniors played in half of TCU's four consecutive trips to the CWS: Nolan Brown, Mason Hesse, Ryan Merrill, Cam Warner, and Evan Williams. SEC Network will also provide live coverage from Omaha, with Dari Nowkhah hosting both a 30-minute pregame show and a one-hour postgame show alongside analysts Chris Burke and Todd Walker each night. The Gators have reached the College World Series Finals series twice before, losing to SC in two games in 2011 and Texas in two games in 2006.

Florida will be playing for its first national championship in baseball.

Said Gretler: "I mean, we didn't adjust. They don't understand our mentality, but we're here now".

Saturday, TCU drew two more walks, four, than the first time they faced Faedo and mustered one more hit, three, in their second matchup with the ace right-hander. Singer said his slider and change-up working well that day, producing a lot of ground ball outs.

Kwan and Madrigal each went 12 for 23 in their first six games in the one and two spots of the lineup. "We played at home through the regionals, we played at home through the supers and when you come here, you're not dealing with just a home crowd anymore". The Beavers had a tremendous run going 56-4 before losing two straight games to the LSU Tigers.

The apex of the season may have come Monday with a 13-1 thrashing of LSU, giving the Beavers a clear edge to reach the finals.

"Nate gave a bunch of examples from 2016, games we lost that we obviously should have won", Bailey said. "We wouldn't be where we're at without Michael Byrne".

The Tigers' starting pitcher hadn't been determined as of Sunday afternoon, though coach Paul Mainieri is certain who it won't be. The Tigers could go the bullpen early if Reynolds struggles. He noticed then and during Friday's 3-1 win how patient the other lineup was. Saturday, Faedo pitched 7.1 innings of shutout baseball in a 3-0 win against TCU in an elimination game, allowing just three hits while striking out 11. "Brady [Singer] has to go deep into Monday, and we hopefully don't have to use Tyler Dyson so he's available on Tuesday. That's why those guys threw limited innings in the fall". Florida closer Michael Byrne wiggled out of the jam with a strikeout and a flyout.

"We didn't adjust", Gretler said.

With Singer throwing Monday, that leaves Faedo and sophomore Jackson Kowar as O'Sullivan's two remaining weekend starters. Both teams are here for a reason.
