Spider-Man Tom Holland Teased For Venom Movie

Considering that Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige (the other person in that interview, who looks confused by Pascal) has more explicitly stated that Venom will not be apart of the MCU, the word "adjuncts" might be the key to unraveling this confusing mess.

While releasing reviews early before the film's domestic debut is typical for Marvel in the past, the timing of Spider-Man's review release has an interesting new wrinkle: unlike other Marvel Studios releases, Spider-Man: Homecoming does not have an global release a week in advance, so (unlike with other releases), reviews being released so early is not necessary.

And all of this seems to be news to Feige who is sitting right next to her. So it appears that these films will take place in some kind of limbo area.

Spider-Man: Homecoming sees Tom Holland and Marisa Tomei reprising their roles from Captain America: Civil War as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Aunt May, alongside Marvel veterans Robert Downey Jr.as Tony Stark and Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan.

Mad Max: Fury Road star Tom Hardy was recently cast as Eddie Brock in the standalone film for the Spider-Man villain, which will be led by Zombieland and Gangster Squad director Ruben Fleischer.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released on July 7. The Black Cat/Silver Stable movie is a little farther behind in development.

This kind of crossover on this big of a scale is unprecedented, as we've seen characters cross over between the films in their universes before but never into two completely separate universes.

Audiences got a brief taste of Holland as Spider-Man in "Captain America: Civil War", which saw him well received by the critics, this time around he's the star of the movie.
