Following the massively anticipated announcement of Beyond Good and Evil 2 at the Ubisoft's E3 2017 press conference, the publisher also released a batch of artwork.

It looks like the project has had a bit of an overhaul since we last saw it.

If you're in the United Kingdom, you can already pre-order it from Game for £54.99, but we're not sure we'd recommend it right now with so much still unknown!

"Developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, Beyond Good & Evil2 puts players in System 3, a solar system that is at the center of interstellar colonization and trade in the Milky Way in the 24th century".

Ancel confirmed BGaE2 will actually be a prequel to the first game and is set before Jade, the main character from BGaE, is born. What the trailer didn't show, however, was anything about how the game might play. "It's too hard. But now we can say for sure that we will make this game, we'll finish it". I'm incredibly thankful to Ubisoft and to the fans for giving us the time and the trust to get it right. What do you think of this news?

Ubisoft has unveiled Beyond Good & Evil 2 which is not a sequel to Beyond Good & Evil. After the trailer finished, a visibly emotional Michel Ancel took to the stage. One is having the user play the game solo so they can play the story alone. The pair managed to highjack a police flyer and destroy a police carrier that tried to block them off. Knox and his partner proceed back to their home ship successful, handing off the data disk they acquired from Zhou to their ship's captain, Dakini. Most of the room stood up when Ancel and Shrager walked out, clapping and cheering for a game that's been 14 years in the making. Even Peter Molyneux would blush over some of the statements being made.

"Beyond Good & Evil" is a case of the latter. It also delves into a whole new plot strand about humans breeding animal/human hybrids and using them as a form of slave labour, which will somehow tie in to all the other stuff we've been promised.

"When you don't have this technology, you can't really start the game", Ancel explained in an interview with The Verge. The trailer shows a good mix of stealth and gun combat - staples of the first game.

The game is a prequel to the original Beyond Good & Evil, which was released 14 years ago.
