The two men, who have not yet been identified, were filmed at the Stadium Gourmet Deli in the Bronx shortly before 5am on May 29.

Police in New York City are looking for two suspects caught on camera attacking a deli clerk with avocados and bananas, leaving the victim with a broken jaw.

The clerk suffered a broken jaw and a cut on his face.

The suspect was angry about an order when he started hurling avocados and bananas, police said.

The shocking moment two furious customers began hurling fruit at staff members at a NY deli just near Yankee Stadium has been captured on camera.

The video shows one man, wearing a black t-shirt, grab avocados from a stand and start pelting them at the worker behind the counter.

A description of both suspects was provided.

The suspects are described as being in their late 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches and 180 pounds, police said. Moments later, the second man joins him.

The owner of the deli explained the injured employee is new to the store and does not speak clear English, so the assault may have been a result of the language barrier.
