It all kicked off on SmackDown Live! last week, as Shane McMahon announced that the "Land of Opportunity" would play host to the first ever women's Money In The Bank ladder match at the blue brand-exclusive pay-per-view next Sunday.

The main event of the night, Nakamura and Owens faced off for the first time in a hard-hitting contest that featured the self-proclaimed New Face of America determined to best the Japanese sensation after losing to Nakamura multiple times in tag team matches in recent weeks. But the surprise was the entrance of Lana, making her first SmackDown Live appearance since the Superstar Shake up. The good guys were in control, but then Lana came out and interfered in the match, tripping Naomi on the ring apron and allowing Tamina to hit her with a superkick and get the pin.

With Sami Zayn's seat at the commentary table unoccupied thanks to a backstage attack by Baron Corbin, the lone wolf filled in his spot as Kevin Owens and Shinsuke Nakamura clashed. Pleading with Shane McMahon to give him a chance, the Smackdown Commissioner made a decision to give Rawley a rare opportunity to capture the gold around Jinder Mahal's waist. Looking ravishing as always, Lana asked McMahon for a chance to be a participant in the ladder match, to which Naomi reminded Lana about not even competing on SamckDown Live.

- Breezango's latest Fashion Files was crashed by The New Day, who offered Breezango "romphims" in exchange for the inside dirt on their Money in the Bank opponents, the Usos. But, the champion was able to hit with the Khallas to pick up the win. They got an easy win after hitting the Midnight Hour. After the match, the Usos appeared to run down the New Day. The night wasn't over yet however, as Corbin made a decision to attack Nakamura.
