CNN Staging "Fake News?"

The video in question refers to content produced by CNN International, which shows a number of "Muslim mums" holding signs against extremism.

But Twitter user @markantro who was present at the event posted a clip of the reporter showing the demonstrators where to stand.

"This story is nonsense", CNN said in a statement published by The Washington Examiner. Several people seem to be standing behind the cameras waving at the protestors to tell them where to stand to get on camera, but it's not clear if they are reporters, demonstrators, or bystanders.

The network denies the allegations of staging the pro-Muslim demonstration, and a CNN representative said the protesters were being escorted through the police cordon so they could show their signs to the media.

On Sunday, the day following the attack, Daily Mail's Katie Hopkins tweeted video footage of CNN's Becky Anderson standing in front of a street corner waiting for protestors to fill in before filming and narrating the shot. CNN will probably be nominated for a Tony Award for the best staging of a fake news story following a REAL news story. CNN along with other media simply filmed them doing so. "CNN, BBC, AP 'simply filmed them doing so'".

No, that is not what happened. As the old Sting song goes, "Every move you make, every vow you break, every smile you fake, every claim you stake, I'll be watching you".
