Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha insists he wont be thinking about Aberdeen next term and says the club are always aiming to be number one.

And Caixinha, who was pleased with the performances of the youngsters against Aberdeen at Ibrox, explained that the starlets will also certainly be part of his team when Rangers take on St. Johnstone in their final game of the season on Sunday.

But Caixinha insists he is not anxious about Aberdeen - only being number one.

"All of our season ticket money will be invested in the football squad as we continue to work towards taking our club back to the very top of Scottish Football".

After Wednesday's defeat to Aberdeen, pundit and former Celtic ace Charlie Nicholas has told Sky Sports News (18/05/2017) that he thinks Rangers are lucky to be third in the table, as they don't have "any top class players at all".

"We all know when we go down, we can still get back in games". "They shouldn't be embarrassed". But going down 2-0 put us, again really put us really on the back foot, and while I thought we might have nicked a goal in the end, there weren't too many clear cut chances.

Spokesman Mike Forbes said the public should have faith in the club to deal with any concerns and claimed fan segregation for matches against Celtic and Rangers might be easier at Kingsford than at Pittodrie, the Reds' current home. They should probably be embarrassed that they've not finished second and I think that any SPL manager with the budget Rangers have would finish second in the league. Over the course of the season where we are in the league shows we deserve to be second.

"It's wrong", said McInnes. "That's the job we are all in and it's normally the unwritten rule we don't talk about other teams' players". If he thinks that, maybe he should have said to me before. I don't think he should be speaking about one of my players, but each to their own.

"I might try and get into his office tonight". "If we lose players, as looks likely, then we will try to replace them with good players".
