T-Pain's T-Wayne album was the proposed project that featured him and Weezy on a variety of Rap&B-infused tracks.

T-Pain announced that he was going to release something that he had on his computer.

Now it's unclear how this would work considering Lil Wayne's label woes at the moment, but as a fan of both artists let's hope T-Pain puts it out.

This ain't for y'all new n-ggas. He tweeted: "These the lost files from '09 and I'm exhausted of em just sitting on my hard drive". Although today's mumble rap fans might not remember, hip-hop fiends from the early 2000s who witnessed the creation of T-Wayne know the story behind their unreleased joint album all too well.

And though the promise of a collaborative T-Wayne album fell through the cracks, T-Pain's sudden rush of spontaneity may end up unlocking the vault of the long lost project after all. While on Instagram, he left the caption.

Almost 10 years later, we can finally set our ears on a collaborative project between the two rappers that was first announced way back when.

By the looks of his newfound approach to the project, however, the right time may finally be approaching. However, due to legal complications and Wayne's jail stint in 2010, the highly-anticipated T-Wayne album never dropped - and was presumably dropped from existence.
