America is headed down a suicidal path - but it's a subtle invasion.

Mack said she could not release specifics on Banda-Acosta's deportations because of privacy rules.

Court records reveal that Banda-Acosta, who was being held on $100,000 bail, has a history of driving under the influence. He was arrested and charged with a DUI in February in 2006.

Chula Vista police said they arrested Banda-Acosta twice on charges of domestic violence against his wife, on April 9, 2006, and this year on January 9. One of the family members, a boy, was severely hit in the head.

Banda-Acosta could face seven years and eight months in state prison if convicted of all the charges.

Lennox is recovering from major head trauma.

"They went through a guard rail and stopped facing the opposite direction", according to the boy's uncle on a GoFundMe page set up to help with the medical expenses.

His father told CBS8 broadcaster of his son: "Right now he's got a lot of swelling". "I just really care about bringing him home and making sure he's happy again". ICE cited a long-standing good relationship with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department in saying they expect him to be turned over at the resolution of this case.

"[ICE] has lodged a detainer against Mr Banda seeking to take him into custody if and when he is released by local authorities to pursue additional immigration enforcement action and/or criminal prosecution", a statement quoted by local broadcaster KGTV added.

Banda had previously been deported 15 times-the most recent time in January of this year, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

The crime has already taken on political significance in the wider debate over illegal aliens in California. It is also created to study statistics related to illegal immigrants and crime.

Banda illegally entered the US a number of times for more than 10 years and was deported 15 times, CBP said. Border Patrol agents rolled up, and Ingrid Lake gave them the description of the pickup that enabled them to find the suspected driver.
