Thursday is the second-biggest day of the year for "Star Wars" fans.

To help celebrate, why not check out recipes for that ubiquitous Star Wars beverage, blue milk, or K-2SO brownies? So why was May 4 chosen as "Star Wars Day"? In October of 2012, Disney purchased Lucasfilm, creators of the "Star Wars" saga. The novel introduced many fan favourite characters including Mara Jade and the blue-skinned Admiral himself.

August will be a bumper month for Star Wars fans with the release of Mystery Minis: Star Wars and Pop! This build sought to recreate some of that imagery.

If May 2019 sounds like a long time to wait, watch the first trailer for the eighth Star Wars movie, "The Last Jedi", which hits theaters December 15.

Now, businesses have caught on to this unofficial holiday by offering special deals and discounts on Star Wars-related merchandise. Today will be filled with Star Wars references and bad Yoda and Chewy impressions, but also a lot of deals and a lot of fandom.
