Stephen Hawking Says Humans Need to Leave Earth Within Next Century

The famous English astrophysicist and scientist, Stephen Hawking, says that all the humans must leave earth before its too late. The English theoretical physicist has warned that the aggressive human instincts, epidemics, population explosion, and overdue asteroid strikes have put the Earth in an "increasingly precarious" position. It is a part of the season called Tomorrow's World and will be aired later this year on BBC Two.

As recently as last year, Hawking gave humans anywhere from 1,000 to 10,000 years to figure out how to colonize another planet, but now he seems to be taking a dimmer view.

Professor Hawking has previously described his views on the future of space travel, in the afterword of the book, How to Make a Spaceship.

"We must also continue to go into space for the future of humanity", Hawking said during a 2016 speech at Britain's Oxford University Union.

But Hawking has significantly lessened his 1,000-year prediction to only 100 years! "However, we will not establish self-sustaining colonies in space for at least the next hundred years, so we have to be very careful in this period". BBC says on its website that they will be exploring from the Atacama desert to the North Pole, the plasma rockets to human hibernation. We need to change planets, and fast. They will be discussing about how humans can reach for the stars and move to different planets.

Elon Musk of SpaceX is already planning to send humans to Mars in the next decade. It also showed that Hawking's ambition is not just a fantasy, and the plan on occupying other planets is becoming a reality.

In his 74 years, Hawking has spoken several times about our doomed fate, with the risk of things like nuclear war increasing as well as the oncoming threat of global warming.

Regardless of what government or private spaceship company arrives on the Red Planet first, specialists have shared their concerns on whether humans will adapt to Mars. Hawking even claimed artificial intelligence and its evolution might work in bringing out the end of humanity thereby overtaking humans in the race of evolution.
