But Xiaomi isn't far behind in the race.

According to previous reports and leaks, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will come with a 6.4-inch full high-definition (HD) display and will be powered by different chipsets based on the configuration. Here are the key differences between Xiaomi Mi 6 and OnePlus 3T.

He added the Mi 6 features include a 6G RAM, dual camera, curved glasses on all four edges and a stainless bezel. Design is similar to its predecessor so you'll notice a very slight change.

This devices measures 145.17×70.49×7.45 mm and weighs around 168 gm. A ceramic model, too, is offered at a premium.

The Mi 6 handset is made entirely out of metal and glass. The fingerprint scanner is embedded under the home button on the front. Now there's a Midnight Black Limited Edition variant in the market as well. However, water and dust-resistance capability is still missing. Also, the Snapdragon 835 SoC has been built using the 10nm fabrication process which is said to bring in more efficiency without heating up the device. That aside, processing load is easily handled by 6GB of RAM (DDR4X 64 bit dual-channel memory) and an Adreno 540 GPU. The Snapdragon 835 processor is paired with 6GB of RAM.

One of the USPs of the Xiaomi Mi 6, the camera on the rear of the phone is a dual-sensor setup, offering two 12MP sensors, with one having a wide-angled lens while the other has double the focal length. Mi 6 also comes with four-axis OIS so images and videos remain sharp, reducing the effect of handshake or motion. In terms of optics, the buzz is it will have a 23-megapixel rear camera along with a 16-megapixel shooter at the front. It is equipped with 16-megapixel cameras at both ends. The 3350 mAh battery supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0.

Additionally, all the smartphones feature fingerprint sensors.

As with pretty much all Xiaomi products, the Mi 6 will only be available in China to begin with as of April 28th, with the 64GB model priced at 2,499 yuan (about $360) and the 128GB flavor at 2,899 yuan ($420). The 6GB + 64GB version is priced at RMB 2,499, the 6GB + 128GB version is priced at RMB 2,899 and the Ceramic edition is priced at RMB 2,999. It's also worth pointing out that the new Mi 6 does not get a headphone jack. The company's software, known as Oxygen OS, comes with lot of customisation options. The phone runs on Android 7.1.1 OS with its own MIUI on top of it. All this is available for just 2,899 Yuan or $421.

First things first, the Xiaomi Mi 6 has been announced in China and there is now no word on its global launch.
