Apple is apparently also testing embedding a fingerprint scanner within the display, but is running into technical issues which suggests it could be placed elsewhere in the final version.

Apple is expected to officially unveil the iPhone 8 in September.

The bad news is that folks interested in Apple's all-new iPhone may have to wait a bit longer than expected.

In terms of the high-end iPhone, Bloomberg says Apple has tested various designs.

Three new iPhone models could appear in Apple's lineup this fall, including "a new top-of-the-line handset with an overhauled look", according to Bloomberg. While there are many rumors attached to the iPhone 8, the latest reports claim that the upcoming Apple smartphone will have its fingerprint scanner located at the back part of the device. A simpler design with an aluminium back also remains a possibility, the site's sources added.

Now, if this rumor comes out to be true, Apple iPhone 8 will have fingerprint sensors/buttons embedded within the display. From wireless charging to the bezel-less display for the iPhone 8 model, we have been hearing a ton of rumors and speculations about the new iPhones.

According to a report from Nikkei, Apple has placed an order for 70 million displays from Samsung for use in the iPhone 8.

Glass suppliers have been struggling to produce heavily curved glass, which is why Apple is more likely to use "more subdued curves" for the handset.

This is because of the device's new design, which is rumored to include a larger screen with curved edges that covers more of the front of the device - similar to that of Samsung's Galaxy S8. Reports are claiming that the tech titan is doing this in order to take more control of their products. The rear camera will have two lenses complete with a camera bump, just like the iPhone 7 Plus, but they will be positioned vertically.

According to "people familiar with the matter", Apple is now developing not one, not two, but three iPhone models to be launched in the fall of this year.

Aside from the movement of Touch ID, the document also shows that Apple may move to dual vertical cameras, which would be another big departure from previous designs.
