Big Show, Braun Strowman collapse the ring on WWE Raw

It's presumable that this was the plan all along - sidenote: how on Earth do they calibrate the ring so that stunt will work? - given how fast WWE's social team capitalized on the video. So what's the real story?

But did you know that this isn't the first time Big Show has been a part of the ring collapsing on WWE programming?

The referee apparently fell from the ring, but was able to talk about the match shortly afterward. "It was obvious it was going to happen".

After both men had hit the ground, Strowman rose from the battered canvas, and roared to express his dominance over the rest of the roster. WWE has built him up to be a monster heel, and he could be headed for a WWE Universal Championship match with Brock Lesnar in the near future.

Strowman, 6-8 and 385 pounds, delivered a superplex to the 7-0, 383-pound Big Show. Dean Ambrose may still be one of the more popular stars on the roster, but his Lunatic Fringe face run feels like its almost ran its course.

Despite some of the problems listed here, there's more to enjoy than get frustrated at on the blue brand now, and that's largely because the show has a nice flow aided by some new faces that once again feel fresh on Tuesday nights.

Wrestling is absurd but so, so good.

Kurt Angle made the announcement about the match between the two wrestlers during last night's Raw.

Holy smokes. Is there anyone that can beat Brawn Strowman? This monstrosity left Reigns with a cracked shoulder and broken ribs.

What do you think of this week's "Raw" ratings? He was pinned by Roman Reigns at Fastlane before entering the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royale at WrestleMania, only to be hastily eliminated by almost every remaining competitor in the match.
