"We're not going to split up like you've seen other cities do", he said, via the Mercury News.

"This is just another thing that we're just going to deal with together", Carr said.

For fans in Oakland, it's been a roller coaster of emotions: Losing a team is obviously hard and quarterback Derek Carr understands.

"I'm ready to rock", Carr said Monday afternoon.

"If u kno me you kno my business is my business and if u don't kno me that's a fun fact for ya. when S*** get REAL I'll let you kno!"

He wrote an impassioned response on Twitter the day National Football League owners voted 31-1 last month in favor of relocation, about being overwhelmed with emotion and how, while he understands the business side of the National Football League, the team and its Oakland fan base would remain resilient throughout the process.

It's only a matter of time before finding out whether or not Marshawn Lynch will officially be a member of the Oakland Raiders for the 2017 season.

Derek Carr started the Raiders offseason program on time.

"You can say that", McKenzie told reporters. "Each day felt like a long day, but we tried to make it fun".

Raiders defensive lineman Khalil Mack echoed Carr's thoughts. I love ALL Raider fans, wherever they are from....

"That's the easy part". "I hope to play with him and those things". It's ultimate focus for us to lock in on what we have to do right now.

"I have to go in with the mindset that this is the group that has to win the AFC (championship)".

"Out of 1,000 people, you're going to have one or two who have something to say", he said.

"It's all about the Bulldogs", Carr said. It will spend the next few years trying to bridge the gap between a fan base that feels deserted in the East Bay and one excited for a new team in Nevada.

The Oakland Raiders aren't the first team to change cities in the NFL.

"The people that it affects the most are our fans here that we have", Carr said. "I did absolutely everything I could to make sure I come back better, like Kobe [Bryant] said, 'come back better than ever.' I wanted to make sure that thing was going to be a non-factor when I started doing things again". But at the same time, we still have some good years ahead of us here. But being a California native himself, he doesn't think true fans will stop supporting Raider Nation.

Since that time we've heard nothing. So I'm focused on these guys. "I think our fans will realize as the season gets closer that we're here and focused on the now". A proposed budge will be presented to the Las Vegas Stadium Authority Board at Thursday's meeting.

Carr isn't the only franchise player in the organization taking his mind off the impending relocation, and instead focusing on iconic owner Al Davis" famous words: "Just win, baby'. That's what we want. Since the Seattle Seahawks still hold his rights, though, Oakland will have to clear that hurdle before it can finalize a deal.

Even if they will be sharing a stadium with a college rival of the Fresno State-bred Carr.
