US President Donald Trump hailed the strength of America as thousands of children enjoyed the time-honoured tradition of rolling hard-boiled eggs across the manicured lawn in his back garden.

It seems the First Lady and her 11-year-old are ditching their posh Fifth Avenue digs in New York City, for the less ostentatious White House this summer, according to Fox News.

First Lady Melania Trump was thinking pink for this year's White House Easter Egg Roll, which she hosted with President Donald Trump on Monday morning.

On the 88th day of Trump's presidency, his team proved that it possesses at least the minimum operational competence to pull off the Easter Egg Roll.

A mini version of the 139-year-old event has started off on the South Lawn on White House property.

Roughly 21,000 people attended the event, and kids had around 18,000 Easter eggs to play with. The first lady tried the popular dance move during the annual Easter egg roll. Stephanie Grisham, Trump's spokeswoman, said this week that the first lady made a decision to scale back the event because she anxious it had grown too large, creating long lines for some activities. "She wanted to get back to the tradition, so we're bringing back some traditional elements, like military bands, and focusing on the family itself", the first lady's communications director told CNN.

"The Easter Egg Roll is one of the most visible events and a time when the White House is showcased to a large number of people". There's also the notable lack of families of color and the PAAS-sponsored White House bunny.

Melania has also been transitioning into her role as first lady. "I've done that a couple of times, more than a couple of times, but it's great", he said of seeing a therapist.

The Easter Egg Roll will feature games, costumed characters, storytelling and entertainment from boy band Bro4, the Martin Family Band and military bands.
