Before basic information about an alleged terrorist attack in London was known, Donald Trump Jr. took to social media to blast the city's mayor.

It comes as an attacker killed three people near the Houses of Parliament in what authorities are treating as a "terrorist incident".

"You have to be kidding me?!" "Terror attacks are part of living in big city, says London Mayor Sadiq Khan".

The President's son quoted an interview Mr Khan did with the Evening Standard last September, following an explosion in the Chelsea district of NY that left 29 people injured.

Donald Jr commented in his tweet: 'You have to be kidding me?!' Donald Jr and wife Vanessa then jetted back to NY, leaving son Donald Trump III with his cousins for the week.

The mayor did not imply that terrorism is a part of everyday life in big cities - he said that preparedness is "part and parcel of living in a big city".

"Is this helpful @DonaldJTrumpJr?".

"Khan, the first Muslim mayor of London, has been an outspoken critic of President Trump". Danish Prime Minister Lars Rasmuss said that he was "horrified by the images from London" and offered his support to our "British friends".

"Yet, whenever these things happen they are met with waves of protest and hoots of derision". We fight against them.

In addition to the attacker and the stabbed police officer, two other people have died and 20 more were injured.

Rex Tillerson, the U.S. Secretary of State, said in a statement that "the American people send their thoughts and prayers" to the United Kingdom.
